Careers Fairs/Events

It is never too early to start to get young people to think about their future and for them to receive valuable information on the different options available. Such information allows balanced and considered decisions.  Our offer of in-house activities helps our pupils and students with this process.

Rawlins Careers Fair

This has become an annual and very successful event. All Rawlins pupils get the opportunity to visit the fair where approximately 50 employers from a vast range of employment join us. These included the NHS, Aggregate Industries, East Midland Airport, Leicestershire Council, Armed Forces, Software IT, Solicitors and many others. Each spent time talking to pupils about different careers and job roles. Some were also promoting current apprenticeships.  We also had local FE and HE providers attending, giving pupils information about post 16 options.  Feedback from everyone was really positive and pupils felt better informed. Employers liked the opportunity to talk to employees of the future.

Rawlins Work Experience

All Year 10 and Year 12 students will be given access to in-person work based learning or work experience. This is organised and managed via the Unifrog software package.
