Welcome to Rawlins Academy

At Rawlins Academy, we have believed for over 300 years that it is dedication, effort and perseverance that turn potential into achievement – and that is the culture we build, every single day. Our pupils learn that hard work is not simply a means to an end – it is a way of life. At Rawlins, every pupil is challenged academically and encouraged to push beyond what feels comfortable, developing the resilience and self-discipline that will serve them long after they leave our gates.

As a Church of England Academy, our Christian values of compassion, wisdom and endurance run through everything we do. Endurance, in particular, shapes our culture. We teach pupils that progress is rarely instant, that setbacks are part of the process, and that the willingness to keep going is what separates those who reach their potential from those who do not.

Our extra-curricular life reflects this same discipline. Whether on the sports field, in the theatre, or in the engineering lab, Rawlins pupils are taught to prepare thoroughly, compete with integrity, and take pride in the standard of their work. We also instil a sense of duty beyond the self – pupils regularly contribute to local, national and international causes, understanding that character is demonstrated through action.

We are proudly inclusive, with specialist provision for pupils with Autism and MLD. Every one of our pupils is held to the same expectation: give your best, every day.

The world your child is entering is demanding. We intend to make sure they are ready for it.

We would love for you to come and see us. Visit, ask questions, and meet the young people who make this school what it is. We think you’ll like what you find.

Act wisely and make the most of every opportunity.
