Dress Code

Rawlins Sixth Form Dress Code

Our Sixth Form dress code allows students to express themselves as individuals, but in an appropriate and modest way.

We are committed to the creation of an environment that is conducive to the inclusion and comfort of all students. With this in mind it is important that Sixth Form students do not dress in a way which causes embarrassment to staff, students and other member of the wider school community.

Whilst students are given considerable freedom in determining how they dress to attend Sixth Form here at Rawlins, the following items do not meet our expectations:

  • Clothing which is revealing; for example, low cut tops or those exposing bare midriffs or bottoms
  • Clothing which reveals underwear or bra straps
  • Strapless, backless, or string-strapped tops
  • Outdoor clothing such as coats, caps or hats worn indoors
  • Flip flops, sliders or Crocs
  • Clothing with offensive logos
  • Ripped jeans or trousers
  • Facial piercings (other than nose)
  • No visible tattoos
  • Any other clothing which requires adjustment or reminders from staff to comply with the dress code
